On-board hydrogen storage systems employing high-pressure metal hydrides promise advantages including high volumetric capacities and cold start capability. In this paper, we discuss the development of a system simulation model in Matlab/Simulink platform. Transient equations for mass balance and energy balance are presented. Appropriate kinetic expressions are used for the absorption/desorption reactions for the Ti1.1CrMn metal hydride. During refueling, the bed is cooled by passing a coolant through tubes embedded within the bed while during driving, the bed is heated by pumping the radiator fluid through same set of tubes. The feasibility of using a high-pressure metal hydride storage system for automotive applications is discussed. Drive cycle simulations for a fuel cell vehicle are performed and detailed results are presented.  相似文献

A simple wet chemical method has been used to synthesize selenium nanoparticles by the reaction of ionic liquid with sodium selenosulphate, a selenium precursor, in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol stabilizer, in aqueous medium. The method is capable of producing spherical selenium nanoparticles in the size range of 76-150 nm under ambient conditions. This is a first report on the production of nano-selenium assisted by an ionic liquid. The synthesized nanoparticles can be separated easily from the aqueous sol by a high-speed centrifuge machine, and can be re-dispersed in an aqueous medium. The synthesized selenium nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and transmission electron microscopy techniques.  相似文献

The glucose is considered to affect the quality of the dried egg products; therefore the statistical optimization of desugarization process parameters of Liquid whole egg (LWE) was carried out in this study. The fermentation of Liquid whole egg (LWE) was done using compressed baker’s yeast. A polynomial model was regressed between reducing sugar & desugarization conditions. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.998 (P < 0.0001) for the regressed model indicated about the adequacy of the model, which implies the model was significant to predict reducing sugar content at different fermentation conditions. Optimum conditions for complete desugarization of Liquid whole egg (LWE) were found to be time 6.49 h, temperature 28 °C, pH 6.40 and yeast concentration 3.8 g/L and confirmed by conducting actual experiments at these conditions.  相似文献

In the present work, cladding of hardfacing WC10Co2Ni powder on austenitic stainless steel has been developed through a novel processing technique. The clads were developed using microwave hybrid heating. The clad of average thickness ~2?mm has been developed through the exposure of microwave radiation at frequency 2.45?GHz and power 900?W for the duration of 360?s. The developed clads were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscope, X-ray elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction, and measurement of Vicker??s microhardness. The microstructure study of the clad showed good metallurgical bonding with substrate and revealed that clads are free from any visible interface cracking. Clads were formed with partial dilution of a thin layer of the substrate. The cermet microstructure mainly consists of relatively soft metallic matrix phase and uniformly distributed hard carbide phase with skeleton-like structure. The developed clads exhibit an average microhardness of 1064?±?99?Hv. The porosity of developed clad has been significantly less at approximately 0.89%.  相似文献

Magnesium oxide (MgO) was synthesised by a simple microwave-assisted combustion route without using any template, catalyst or surfactant. For the purpose of comparison, it was also prepared using conventional method. The as-synthesized MgO was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HR-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) and Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The XRD results confirmed the formation of cubic phase MgO. FT-IR was used to investigate the adsorption of water and CO2 on MgO surface and confirm the formation of Mg-O phase. The formation of MgO micro cubes structures was confirmed by HR-SEM. The formation of MgO nanosheets was confirmed by HR-SEM and TEM and their possible formation mechanisms were also proposed. The optical absorption and photoluminescence emissions were determined by DRS and PL spectra respectively. An attempt has been made to compare the lattice parameter and the PL intensity.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with the theory of two temperature thermoelasticity with two phase-lags in which the theory of heat conduction in deformable bodies depends on two distinct temperatures – the conductive temperature and the thermodynamic temperature. A generalized heat conduction law with dual-phase-lag effects was proposed by Tzou (1995) for the purpose of considering the delayed response in times due to the microstructural interactions in the heat transport mechanism. Recently, Quintanilla (2008) has proposed to combine this constitutive equation with a two temperature heat conduction theory and has proved that a dual-phase-lag theory with two temperatures is a well-posed problem. In the present work we consider the basic equations concerning this dual-phase lag theory of two temperature thermoelasticity and make an attempt to establish some important theorems in this context. A uniqueness theorem has been established for a homogeneous and isotropic body. An alternative characterization of mixed boundary initial value problem is formulated and a variational principle as well as reciprocal principle have been established.  相似文献

Respiratory illnesses have been linked to children's exposures to water‐damaged homes. Therefore, understanding the microbiome in water‐damaged homes is critical to preventing these illnesses. Few studies have quantified bacterial contamination, especially specific species, in water‐damaged homes. We collected air and dust samples in twenty‐one low‐mold homes and twenty‐one high‐mold homes. The concentrations of three bacteria/genera, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Streptomyces sp., and Mycobacterium sp., were measured in air and dust samples using quantitative PCR (QPCR). The concentrations of the bacteria measured in the air samples were not associated with any specific home characteristic based on multiple regression models. However, higher concentrations of S. maltophilia in the dust samples were associated with water damage, that is, with higher floor surface moisture and higher concentrations of moisture‐related mold species. The concentrations of Streptomyces and Mycobacterium sp. had similar patterns and may be partially determined by human and animal occupants and outdoor sources of these bacteria.  相似文献

In certain parts of India roofs built with locally quarried stone slabs have been found to be 20 per cent cheaper than ordinary reinforced concrete. The author, who is a Chief Engineer at the Public Works Department, Rajasthan, describes test work which has shown how to make such roofs more stable and weathertight.  相似文献
